Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
South Shore Websites ("we," "us") is a one-person web design business run by Chris, based on Long Island, New York. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you fill out our form or email us, we receive what you include, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, service area, website, photos, and notes about your business.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us basic details like your name, email, amount paid, and payment status.
- Account access you give us. If you add us as a manager on your Google Business Profile or give us access to your domain or hosting, we use that access only to do the work you asked for.
What this website does not do
This website does not use cookies, analytics, ad trackers, or tracking pixels. The contact form does not store anything. It opens a pre-filled email in your own email app, and nothing is sent until you press send.
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How we use your information
- To reply to you and build your free sample site.
- To build, launch, host, and update your website and set up your Google Business Profile.
- To send invoices, payment links, and receipts, and to keep business and tax records.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the business: Google (Gmail, for email), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (website hosting), plus your domain registrar if we register a domain for you. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and project files for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable time afterward, and payment records as long as tax law requires. If you never become a client, you can ask us to delete your sample and messages at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you by emailing southshorewebsites@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Your customers' information
If your website includes a contact form, messages from your customers go to you. We don't use your customers' information for anything other than running your site.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
